Teacher and Tutor Grades K to Math Reading Writing Test Prep

Lead Teachers Wanted for Fun After-School Tutoring! Sylvan Learning Center is looking for fun, dedicated teachers to help and inspire students. We are currently looking for teachers who are able to teach reading, writing, and math through Algebra II, SAT and ACT prep.

Sylvan creates individualized, engaging learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with well-behaved groups of only three students, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all of the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides!

• Lead instruction for small groups of students (no more than four per teacher).
• Utilize pre-planned lessons that are straightforward, easy to manage, and fun to teach.
• Teach reading, writing, and math up to Algebra II, including SAT and ACT prep.
• Maintain a schedule of 5 days per week for 3-4 hours per day, with availability in weekday afternoons, Saturday mornings, and daytime hours during school breaks.
• Provide a positive, engaging learning environment and motivate students to be successful.

• Bachelor's Degree required; teaching credential recommended.
• Enjoy teaching, working with students, and inspiring them.
• Punctual, reliable, local, and have reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
