Overview
Colorado State University Pueblo (CSU Pueblo) offers a comprehensive Construction Management program within its School of Engineering. The program prepares graduates with both technical and managerial skills to plan, organize, staff, lead, and exercise control over commercial, residential, and heavy construction projects.
Responsibilities- Teach 12 credit hours per semester, including laboratory courses, primarily in the Construction Management program, using a variety of delivery modes.
- Develop and present course materials, assess student performance, and provide academic support, holding five office hours per week.
- Prepare proposals for new courses, recommend program modifications, and adjust curriculum as required by institutional procedures.
- Engage in scholarly and creative activities producing peer‑reviewable work such as reports, grant proposals, conference papers, and textbooks.
- Participate in department, college, and community service activities, including student advising, recruiting, committee service, and outreach to the profession.
$60,200 - $80,000
Minimum Qualifications- Doctorate in construction engineering or construction management (or a closely related field) conferred before start of tenure‑track appointment.
- Ability to teach in at least three of the program areas described in the job statement summary.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English and proficiency with computer‑related educational technology.
- Professional certification or license in Building Information Modeling, Building Code, Construction Accounting and Finance, Heavy Civil, Mechanical & Electrical.
- Online teaching experience and experience managing online course delivery.
- Minimum of three (3) verifiable years of construction industry experience, including at least one (1) year in the U.S., with experience in project management, lead estimating, or site supervision.
- Experience in heavy/highway construction practice.
- Ability to incorporate current Building Information Modeling technologies into the curriculum.
