Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) — School-Based
Pay: $35–$45 per hour (based on experience)

Reports To: District BCBA and/or Site Administrator
ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students across school-based settings. The RBT works under the supervision of a District BCBA and/or School Psychologist and plays a critical role in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), teaching prosocial skills, collecting behavioral data, and supporting students in accessing the learning environment successfully.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity and consistency.
Provide calm, patient, and consistent behavioral support to students with learning and behavior challenges.
Collect accurate, objective behavioral data and document student progress.
Use evidence-based ABA strategies including reinforcement, prompting, prompt fading, and antecedent modifications.
Support social skills development, peer interactions, and play-based learning.
Assist teachers and instructional staff with classroom activities and small-group or individual instruction.
Respond to student crises using de-escalation and regulation strategies while maintaining student safety.
Collaborate with school and district teams and maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance.
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Minimum Associate’s Degree or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience working with students in special education or related settings.
Experience supporting preschool through middle school-aged students preferred.
Current Safety Care or equivalent crisis intervention certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to collect data, follow behavior protocols, and work under clinical supervision.
Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills.
Bilingual skills a plus.
Work performed in classrooms and outdoor school environments.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist students throughout the day.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and up to 50 lbs with accommodation.
