Test & Evaluation Engineer

We are seeking a System Test Engineer (Space Systems) to join our Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. This role is responsible for performing hardware & software verification tests on space systems & subsystems. Additional duties include configuration of test equipment, troubleshooting test anomalies, and conducting data analysis.

This position is for 2nd shift; however, variable shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) may be required to support program objectives. It may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at El Segundo, California.

• Supports the development and verification of test methods
• Performs detailed test procedures, instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
• Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
• Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
• Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements
• Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
• Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
• Presents test results internally
• Archives data and reports
• Works under general direction from test leads

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 3+ years of experience working with specialized test equipment, instrumentation using electrical engineering test methodologies
• 3+ years of experience performing automated tests and troubleshooting electronics equipment, hardware, and software
• Experience in software tools based in C#

• 5+ years experience working in a lab and/or production environment
• 5+ years of experience with test instrumentation and/or test methods

Min Pay Rate: 66.76 USD hourly Max Pay Rate: 71.77 USD hourly
