Summary:
As a Reliability Engineer, you’ll lead efforts to monitor, analyze, and improve the reliability of Teledyne Controls’ electronic products. This includes tracking MTBUR/MTBF metrics, conducting root cause investigations, performing reliability modeling, and supporting corrective actions for both fielded and new products.
Key Responsibilities:
Reliability Analysis & Reporting:- Track and assess product MTBUR and MTBF across global and airline-specific datasets.
- Identify performance deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare reliability reports and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate field returns and document failed part conditions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to analyze component-level failures and trends.
- Use schematics, assembly drawings, and design documentation to support troubleshooting and test coverage improvements.
- Develop reliability predictions using industry-standard models (e.g., MIL-HDBK-217).
- Prepare detailed FMEA (functional and design-level), Fault Tree Analysis, and Safety Hazard Analysis based on electronic assembly parts lists.
- Support reliability documentation for development programs and Entry-into-Service (EIS).
- Prepare internal and external corrective action responses.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) investigations and dispositions.
- Interface with cross‑functional teams to assess failure severity and impact on production, repair, and fielded systems.
- Propose and monitor implementation of product/process improvements.
- Collect and analyze failed devices; interface with distributors and manufacturers for resolution.
- Review part‑level specifications and failure modes to support root cause identification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering with a focus on digital electronics
- 2+ years of experience in reliability engineering for electronic equipment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Familiarity with reliability modeling tools and standards
- Must be a US Person (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
