Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems has an exciting opportunity for Digital Electronics Circuit & Unit Hardware Design Engineers (Lead or Senior) to join us as part of our Space Digital Products & Electronics team located in El Segundo, CA.

We are seeking Digital Electronics Circuit and Unit Hardware Design Engineers who thrive on developing cutting-edge digital solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing the digital circuitry that drives satellite functionality. Your expertise in digital signal processing, data communication, digital control systems, and embedded systems will be instrumental in shaping the future of satellite technology.

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, you'll ensure seamless integration of digital components, enabling efficient data processing and communication within the satellite.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of state‑of‑the‑art digital circuit & unit hardware/digital electronics for aerospace applications
  • Duties will include electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
  • Technical support for production and test of electronic products
  • Support projects involving electronics design
  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products
  • Lead analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products
  • Lead development of high‑level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
  • Lead reviews of testing and analysis activity to assure compliance to requirements
  • Identify, track and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Lead activities in support of supplier management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services
  • Coordinate engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
  • Work under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret, Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance Post‑Start is required
  • 5+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware
  • Experience with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics
  • Experience with circuit design and analysis
  • Experience with firmware, microprocessor or other hardware
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering or other related advanced degree
