Job SummaryMillennium‑Space Systems is looking for a Data Products Team Lead who can develop and build a team responsible for the next generation of AI & ML products and services. As part of the core Data Products group, the candidate will lead project teams in developing innovative, reusable, and scalable solutions and will work effectively with cross‑functional teams to determine, define, and deploy analytics solutions to meet business goals.
PositionResponsibilities
Solve challenging problems involving multi‑sensor data analysis, exploitation, and integration in overhead persistent infrared (OPIR) mission areas executed by the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command;
Missile Defense Agency;
Space Development Agency; and other community members.Evaluate business objectives, determine stakeholder needs, and identify requirements. Choose best fit methods, define algorithms, validate, and deploy models to achieve business results. Perform necessary data preparation and enhancements to models.
Develop and deliver core data science and analytics solutions. Candidate should have strong expertise in statistics, AI and ML theories/concepts, and good domain expertise either in space operations, engineering, supply chain, sales or manufacturing.
Utilize advanced processing pipelines and other tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed data to produce and disseminate products.
Analyze and parse data in a variety of geospatial file formats and databases for machine learning and algorithm optimization, testing, and validation.
Provide technical leadership to teams performing exploitation and process development.
Create and deliver technical briefings and reports. Interface directly with senior business leaders and stakeholders to architect and lead the development of advanced analytics solutions supporting spacecraft operations.
Employ mathematical principles to evaluate, develop, and select processing techniques, optimizing calibration, background suppression, signal augmentation, target detection, geolocation, and multi‑target and multi‑sensor tracking of dim targets.
Design, operate, improve, optimize, and deploy scientific image processing and geospatial algorithms.
Leverage end‑to‑end data exploitation and analytics knowledge to validate novel image and signal processing algorithms.
Apply end‑to‑end knowledge of data exploitation and data analytics to provide independent verification and validation of new image and signal processing algorithms and inform trade studies to optimize performance of space payloads.
Craft innovative, multi‑phenomenology solutions, specialized visualizations, and analytical reports for customers.
Advanced degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or other relevant engineering.
Strong proficiency in digital communications architectures, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
Strong proficiency with common version control, defect/task tracking, and documentation systems.
Demonstrated experience leading a team.
Must be versatile and able to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Must hold an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active.
Experience with Dev Sec Ops , infrastructure and system maintenance.
2 years managing a functional team or equivalent.
Familiarity with machine learning/AI concepts and tools.

Pay & BenefitsCompetitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan. Pay range for Level 6: $186,150 - $273,750
