The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in El Segundo CA.

The selected candidate will join the STE (Special Test Equipment) Architecture Engineering and Design team which is challenging the status quo and driving the Model Based Engineering culture and operations, an ideal candidate will bridge manufacturing and electrical systems teams to ensure producible, testable and cost‑effective electrical assemblies.

BT&E El Segundo STE architecture and engineering team is responsible for the development and delivery of test system solutions and Special Test Equipment (STE) engineering products to our satellite system test teams.

Position Responsibilities Include

Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization

Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

Coordinates with supplier management and project managers to ensure that manufacturing requirements, hardware standards, design criteria and schedule performance to build plan are integrated and accurate.

Document and communicate producibility best practices.

Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

Coordinates parts procurement using various tools for management visibility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science.

4 years of experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering.

Experience using Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools.

Experience in production systems and integration of the supply chain.

Experience working with procurement in the acquisition of parts.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)

Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Experience with parts obsolescence management assessment & monitoring.

Experience working with manufacturing planning tools.

Summary pay range: $129200 - $174800
