In this role, you will help deliver innovative, mission-critical technology that enables defense customers to operate with confidence, resilience, and speed.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer on the RCP team, you will design and develop high-performance digital hardware used in communication products essential to the defense of our nation. These solutions support Ground, Airborne, and Space applications and require creativity, technical rigor, and a passion for solving complex challenges. This position is an onsite role located in El Segundo, California.

You can expect to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where engineers are encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Individuals with strong initiative and technical curiosity will find ample opportunity to make an impact and grow.

What You will do
  • Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities including requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, signal integrity analysis, creation of board stackup and routing instructions, coordination and review of printed wiring board layout, creation of test plans, root cause analysis, and integration. Designs will include the use of FPGA, processors, and DDR memory components, and industry interfaces, such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.

Generate Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout constraint guidelines and oversee the routing, layout, fabrication, and assembly of complex designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and mechanical engineers, to develop proven hardware designs that meet system performance and operational specifications.
  • Prepare and present project and/or technical information to technical staff, program leadership, management and customers. This includes producing technical documentation, including specifications, hardware design documents, and test plans.
  • Test and troubleshoot electronic circuitry. Includes support lab of design verification testing for circuit card assemblies.
  • Perform trade studies as needed and select components necessary to implement the requirements. Includes supporting system architecture discussions where needed.
What You will learn
