SAIC is seeking a Lead Test Engineer on the Horizon Program to support the United States Space Force’s Program Executive Office for Space Domain Aware and Combat Power portfolio in El Segundo, CA. If you enjoy test planning, test requirement development, or any aspect of testing for space and ground systems, this role is a right fit.
Fun stuff you will do on the job- Document program test strategy and plans, test scenarios, and test requirements in contractor contractual documents and program office documentation.
- Work with development contractors to ensure developmental test objectives are consistent with applicable standards, instruction, and policy.
- Collaborate with Government developmental and operational test agencies/organizations to develop adequate test methodology consistent with the program manager’s expectations and other stakeholders.
- Lead and/or participate in test working groups that plan, status, and discuss test-related matters.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and fourteen years of relevant experience in technical programs, systems engineering, and test policy/execution for large-scale space-based and ground-based systems or new-start technical demonstration space and ground systems.
- Experience with test planning, documentation development, requirement development, engineering process and tool development, and Department of Defense Test & Evaluation.
- In-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation program if applicable.
- Willingness to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and consenting to a polygraph examination.
- ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional and/or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional credentials.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
