Validus Capital, an Investment Advisory, Private Equity Fund Manager, and Multi‑Family Office firm based out of El Segundo, California is seeking a self‑motivated and dynamic individual to fill an Analyst role.
In this role the qualified individual will be responsible for supporting Validus leadership, Advisors, and other relationship managers with various ad hoc and scheduled tasks related to portfolio analysis, portfolio reporting, Private Equity Fund, and Multi‑Family Office reporting.
Responsibilities- Research, data analysis, quality control, review of data inputs and ad hoc project management
- Performance report reconciliation, and preparation of portfolio reviews and agendas
- Support in various tasks relating to Private Equity fund platform and Multi‑Family Office
- Opportunity to participate in a variety of new and challenging assignments to take on wider responsibilities in general
- Assist with firmwide operational functions and regulatory compliance projects as needed
- Preferred investment, finance, economics, or mathematics background
- Minimum of 2‑5 years’ experience as an analyst or relevant internship
- Familiar with private equity and public market investments
- Extensive knowledge of software and tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to tackle varied projects and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and/or intricate knowledge of relevant fields
- Self‑paced, disciplined, and capable of thriving in unstructured, structured environments and tight timelines
- Proactive mindset, multi‑task with ability to pivot and re‑prioritize projects and tasks quickly
- You take ownership and collaborate efficiently and well with others
- You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and control your workflow
- You have keen attention to detail and common sense
- You have an effective communication style with your colleagues and clients
- You enjoy taking on more responsibility as your career progresses and you succeed in working independently or with others
