Pay Range: USD $130,400 and $163,000 Yearly
The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range; however, base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills, and experience.

Mattel’s Ethics & Compliance team is seeking a Manager, Investigations to conduct Compliance investigations across the U.S. We are looking for an experienced investigator who can ensure that all matters are investigated timely, thoroughly, objectively, and that we are operating consistently across the organization. This individual will partner with People & Culture Business Partners, Employment Law, Security, IT, Internal Audit, and other cross‑functional stakeholders.
WhatYour Impact Will Be:
- Conduct thorough, timely and objective investigations in response to employee concerns, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other violations of rules, regulations, and Mattel policy, adhering to Compliance best practices.
- Partner with People & Culture Business Partners, business leaders, legal counsel, and other cross‑functional stakeholders as necessary to reach an effective resolution to employee matters.
- Use sound judgment to produce clear, concise, and fact‑based investigation notes and memos.
- Maintain confidentiality and apply sound judgment in all employee matters.
- Influence positive outcomes that support culture and compliance objectives.
- Lead formal reviews and report outs on investigations, presenting findings and proposed resolutions to Employment Law, People & Culture Business Partners, business leaders and relevant employees.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively in a high volume, fast‑paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ensure that all matters are entered and updated in Mattel’s centralized case management system.
- Participate in quarterly calls with external auditors to review investigatory matters and processes.
- Partner with People & Culture Business Partners on the creation and delivery of requested trainings.
- Partner with Compliance colleagues to identify and drive improvements within the investigative process and proactively identify opportunities for additional risk controls, education, and/or refined guidelines.
- Partner with Sr. Director, Global Investigations & Employee Relations and local People & Culture Business Partners on regional investigations as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; you must have a minimum of 5‑7 years’ experience conducting end‑to‑end investigations into complex employee matters.
- Excellent planning, organization and time‑management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
- Experience managing difficult conversations, interactions, and interviews.
- Ability to quickly establish trust and interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with cross‑functional stakeholders, operating across the organization and at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
