The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems at every stage of their lifecycle. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security, within the infrastructure.

This position's internal job code is Sys Design & Integration Spec. Our team is currently hiring for a level 4.

• Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff.
• Use expert-level configuration, administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability of infrastructure and systems.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system engineering tasks.

• Linux and Windows architect experience.
• Virtualization expertise (vSphere, ESXi, Hyper‑V).
• Azure and Office 365 Tenant administration.
• Storage Services and Platforms (e.g. Dell Power Store, Power Vault).
• CompTIA Security+ Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accepted and accredited college or university with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• Four (4) years of system engineering experience or minimum seven (7) in a senior system administrator role.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post‑Start is required.

• Operating system administration (e.g. RHEL, Windows Server).
• Configuration and administration of endpoint solutions (e.g. SCCM, Intune, Solar Winds, Service Now).
• Azure/O365 Online App experience (e.g. SharePoint, Power Bi, Power Automate).
• Domain management expertise (e.g. AD, SSO, PKI, GPO, DHCP).
• Automation and Scripting experience (e.g. Power Shell, Python, Ansible).
• Containerization experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate.
• VMware Certified Professional or VMware Certified Advanced Professional.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Level 4: $129,200 - $190,000
