Senior DevOps Engineer

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelors degree in computer science or information systems; other relevant degrees will be considered with adequate work experience.
• 7 years of experience in Dev Ops software development and infrastructure design.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Capable of designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Experienced in maintaining CI/CD pipelines with security best practices (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD).
• Knowledgeable in release management and deployment of microservices within a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS, Azure AKS).
• Strong understanding of Helm charts for deploying Docker-based microservices.
• Familiar with logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong passion for research, addressing complex challenges, and continually learning new technologies.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.

• Maintain and enhance Helm charts for deploying Docker-based microservices.
• Assist in release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes setting (AWS EKS, Azure AKS).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and automate incident response.
• Collaborate with developers to enforce secure coding practices and conduct application security testing.
• Deploy Dev Ops practices to streamline software engineering workflows across various projects.
• Establish foundational processes that will significantly impact the success of the software team and organization.
• Collaborate directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and key technologies.
• Initiate agile development teams and oversee the establishment of Dev Ops pipelines in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
