What

You Will Do
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment and use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Monitor the trouble ticket system, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ensure systems operate 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date and U.S. citizenship required.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry‑recognized certifications relevant to a Windows System Administrator, or ability to acquire within six months of hiring.
  • Experience with Windows architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with application installation and multi‑server environment/deployment.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active DoD TS clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience managing Microsoft WSUS, Exchange, and Skype.
  • Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities (e.g., Symantec, Splunk, Tenable Nessus).
  • Experience with databases (MSSQL, Maria

    DB).
  • Experience with backup software (Backup Exec).
  • Scripting experience (Power Shell, Ansible).
  • Experience using information technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience with VMWare vCenter, vSphere, ESX, and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Familiarity with Net App, Solarwinds, Chocolatey, and PDQ.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

Salary range: 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
