IT Help Desk Technician 1st Shift - Millennium Space Systems

Millennium Space Systems (MSS), a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to support the IT team in El Segundo, CA.

Job Summary

The IT Help Desk Technician will provide technical support and assistance to Millennium employees and contractors, whether on the phone or in person. The primary goal is to ensure client satisfaction and to enable proper operation of any PC or technology. This role requires work on the first shift.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely and organized manner using the Service Now ticketing system
• Respond to customer issues via phone, email, and computer chat to provide assistance
• Document customer interactions
• Run diagnostics to resolve customer reported issues
• Support new employee onboarding
• Escalate issues as needed to the next tier of IT support
• Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software
• Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Technical degree or 2+ years of experience working in a help desk role
• Proficiency with Dell Computers utilizing Windows 10/11
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Highly organized with strong ability to keep Help Desk tickets in order
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer, mobile devices, and printer technical issues
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range for Level 2: $29.82–$43.87 per hour.
