Job Summary: The Senior Receiving Quality Inspector role will support the inspection of incoming piece parts and assemblies—including machined parts, EEE (Electronic, Electrical or Electro‑mechanical components)—to ensure requirements and quality standards have been met or exceeded.

Job Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications and perform inspections using tools such as micrometers, gauges, Romer arm, coordinate measuring machine (CMM), etc.
  • Perform visual and functional final inspection of incoming product and devices.
  • Review documentation requirements such as Certificate of Conformance, Test, Dimensional, and First Article Inspection reports.
  • Identify discrepant material, prepare inspection reports regarding conformance and initiate discrepancy reports when needed.
  • Process material in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Manage discrepant material and interface with internal/external stakeholders to resolve non‑conforming material issues.
  • Perform inspection under magnification of printed circuit boards to verify workmanship and acceptability requirements per IPC, J‑STD, and NASA.
  • Create discrepancy reports for suspect or identified counterfeit parts.
  • Identify bottlenecks, process gaps, etc., and select continuous improvement projects to improve quality and/or efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Experience using GD&T inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauge, etc.) and/or electronic inspection measurement tools (e.g., digital multimeter).
  • Previous experience with QA inspection processes and techniques, including interfacing with ERP systems.
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, aerospace certifications, and test reports.
  • Adaptable and creative problem‑solving abilities.
  • Results oriented and able to bring projects to a successful conclusion using multiple systems and resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to collaboratively work with diverse groups of people/teams.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications (Certifications)
  • Training certification to IPC, J‑STD, and NASA inspection standards.
  • GD&T training certification.
  • CMM, Romer/Faro Arm training certification.
  • Ability to apply for a TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance.
Security Clearance and Export Control
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements; U.S. Person definition per 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.
Shift

First Shift (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.

Salary Range
  • Grade 24: $29.42 / hr – $47.09 / hr
