Millennium Space Systems (MSS), a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Industrial Security Specialist - Physical Security to create a secure environment for classified programs. The role is onsite in El Segundo, California.

Position Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the security team on maintenance records for DoD collateral, SCIF and SAPF facilities.
  • Develop and execute projects and process plans, implement and assist in the execution of policies.
  • Utilize knowledge of all construction disciplines.
  • Participate in facility design reviews to incorporate security requirements, TEMPEST and COMSEC.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, provide written correspondence for government signature.
  • Maintain accountability of container contents, locks, and audit support.
  • Control and modify access to corporate offices, labs, DoD open storage rooms, SCIFs and SAPFs.
  • Assist with physical security inspections, audits, surveys, risk analysis, emergency and guard response drills, and random hand‑carry checks.
  • Manage facility accreditations and develop new accreditation considerations.
  • Collaborate with CSSO, CRO and FSO for guidance on current and new facilities.
  • Communicate project status, conduct and participate in team meetings, and provide presentations.
  • Support development of authorization packages for ATO, implement security controls, plan, write procedures and conduct continuous monitoring.
  • Review CDRL deliverables for security, provide comments and recommendations.
  • Provide comments for Statements of Work, contracts, RFPs and Security Plans.
  • Plan, develop, process and maintain DD147 & fixed facility checklists.
  • Interpret and implement CSPs during construction, review interfaces, OPSEC, legends, and communicate with Accrediting Official.
  • Assist with staff visits, security reviews, inspections, and training.
  • Investigate and document security violations/incidents.
  • Support security investigations using CCTV, access control, alarm system, and produce concise reports.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial security experience.
  • Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, OPSEC plans.
  • Experience drafting and implementing CSPs for SAPs, SCI & DoD open storage.
  • Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, DoDM 5205.07 SAP Security Manual, ICD/ICS 705.
  • Ability to relate to a diversified customer base.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility (U.S. citizenship required) active in past 24 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Site Security Manager training / certificate.
  • Experience with local risk assessments.
  • Experience drafting and maintaining DD 147, FFCs, TEMPEST checklists.
  • Experience working with contractors, facility managers, and external/internal customers.
