Position Overview
Location:
2012 E El Segundo Blvd Bldg E07, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States.
Onsite – 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM).

A “Plumber A” will work with minimal supervision, perform all aspects of plumber related installation, modification, and repairs as well as general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools, equipment and safety requirements. Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and installs various plumbing related systems.
Key Responsibilities- Performs complex servicing and emergency repairs to domestic water systems, chilled water system, hot water system, waste treatment plant systems, wastewater systems, DI water systems, RO water systems, water softeners, compressed air systems, LN2 systems, natural gas systems, drainage systems and specialty clean line production systems including pipes, fitting and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, pumps, process tanks, controls according to International Plumbing Codes and other applicable industry standards.
- Determines material requirements, locates pipe routings, work sequence, installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, eye washes, water heaters, hot water tanks, humidifiers, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctioning systems and components.
- Repairs and maintains plumbing replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains.
- Interprets engineering drawings, engineering specifications, working drawings, equipment manuals related to utility piping systems and components parts. Make working sketches or prepare written instructions as necessary.
- After repairs, fills pipe system with water, DI, RO, LN2, natural gas or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturer’s technical manuals.
- Industry experience in building Automation and process controls.
- Strong time management and troubleshooting skills.
- Willing to assist other trades on building emergencies.
- Skilled in system replacement / installation and unit start‑up.
The hourly range for this role is $28.05 to $47.16. Compensation is based on role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education and key skills.

This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement. Wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement. Individuals hired will be represented by a union.
