Non‑exempt (compensatory and/or overtime eligible); full‑time; 40 hours per week;
Monday‑Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; full benefits.
This skilled position will have a primary focus on performing repairs and maintenance of HVACR equipment throughout Frederick County buildings and facilities. Work performed includes a wide variety of tasks related to building maintenance and installation of building‑wide components. Supervision is received from the Lead Technician and Chief of Facilities Maintenance.

The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions. For transfers and promotions, wage rates are calculated per County policy.

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE:- 11 days of Vacation leave with increase after 2 years of employment

- Install, service and maintain various types of HVAC equipment and controls associated with the building
- Install, repair, adjust and maintain a wide variety of systems and equipment (e.g. air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems and equipment; emergency generators; oil, gas and electric burners, hot water and heat pump systems and other heating equipment; water heaters; circulator pumps; ice makers and chillers)
- Maintain controls on HVAC systems and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls
- Repair leaks in water lines
- Perform various electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks associated with the building
- Perform work in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance Program
- Purchase material and equipment needed for jobs and keeping shop stocked
- Respond to emergency calls
- Work with and assist other building technicians
- Move equipment and furniture when necessary
- Perform other related duties as required

MAINTENANCETECHNICIAN III REQUIREMENTS ($25.70‑$41.13 per hour):
- High school or vocational school graduation, or the equivalent
- Possession of a valid automobile operator's license
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC work experience
- Possession of a current Maryland State HVACR Journeyman license
- Possession of a current refrigerant Type II EPA or Universal EPA…
