ABOUT BRADSHAWAs a leading contractor in the tunneling industry, with over five decades of experience, we've earned respect as technological innovators through the construction of highly difficult tunneling projects. Our teams deliver microtunneling, tunneling, hand mining, and shaft construction in every type of ground, above and below the water table. That technical reputation rests on one thing: our people. We recognize and reward creativity, initiative, and hard work, and we are committed to sending every one of them home safe at the end of every shift.
In August 2026, Bradshaw became a subsidiary of Soletanche Bachy, a world leader in foundations and underground works, and part of the VINCI Group, a global leader in construction and concessions. This gives our team access to international expertise and resources.
THE ROLEWe are looking for an EHS Manager who is as comfortable in a tunnel as in a meeting room. You will own Bradshaw’s Environmental, Health & Safety program across our multi-state operations: building and maintaining the program in the office, and making it real on our jobsites alongside superintendents, foremen, and crews. You will also be Bradshaw’s EHS link to Soletanche Bachy and VINCI, ensuring that group standards are applied locally and that our performance is reported accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on, versatile role. You will write the policies and analyze the data, but you will also stand in front of a crew to teach a new procedure, walk the heading to spot hazards before they become incidents, and coach people to work safely by conviction rather than by rule. We need someone rigorous, a natural teacher, and a clear communicator at every level of the organization.
WHATYOU WILL DOIn the field
- Conduct and document regular jobsite inspections and audits, with a focus on hazard recognition, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behavior.
- Coordinate EHS planning with project superintendents from mobilization through demobilization, including site-specific safety plans and job hazard analyses.
- Verify implementation of critical controls specific to underground work: atmospheric monitoring and ventilation, confined space entry, shaft and ground support, excavation, crane and rigging operations, and emergency rescue planning.
- Monitor environmental compliance on site, including stormwater and erosion control, dewatering and discharge, slurry and spoil management, and noise and dust.
- Lead post-accident and incident investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and issue clear written reports with corrective actions, then follow up until they are closed.
- Develop, write, and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures, and lead their rollout across all projects.
- Maintain accurate EHS records (OSHA logs, inspections, training, permits, required postings) and present trends and recommendations to management.
- Deploy Soletanche Bachy and VINCI Group HSE standards, policies, and campaigns at Bradshaw, aligning them with U.S. regulatory requirements and site realities.
- Prepare and submit periodic HSE and environmental reporting to the group (incident data, frequency and severity rates, leading indicators, environmental and carbon data), ensuring the data is complete, consistent, and verified.
- Coordinate with group HSE teams on audits, incident notifications, lessons-learned sharing, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Act as the company’s point of contact with regulatory agencies, owners, consultants, insurers,…
