Leadership Rooted in Experience Our practice is led by Dr. Kelly Betts, a seasoned general dentist with 18 years of diverse experience, spanning roles from dental assistant to hygienist, before advancing to dentistry. She has "been there/done that" as a hygienist and understands exactly what it takes to deliver the best care to her patients. Together with our associate doctor, they champion a holistic approach to dental care—prioritizing oral health as a gateway to overall well-being.

This philosophy not only enhances our patient care but also enriches the professional development of our team.

Responsibilities:

· Provide comprehensive education to our patients and their families regarding oral health, nutrition, prevention and maintenance care.

· Develop and maintain a sustainable periodontal protocol, including patient care, continuing education for the team and quarterly/yearly calibration.

· Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth.

· Take and develop dental x-rays.

· Proficiency in oral photography and intraoral scanning.

· Conduct oral cancer screening.

· Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health care instructions.

· Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.

· Assist the dentist during dental procedures as needed.

· Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental.

· Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment.

Position Details:

Job Types: Flexible Employment:
Choose from full-time or part-time Competitive Pay:
Earn between $50.00 and $62.00 per hour, reflecting your skills and experience. Opportunity for advancement/bonus track for RDH

Schedule:

Consistent Weekdays:
Part-time, 2-3 day work week Daytime

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's or bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene from an accredited program.

Licenses:
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Maryland.

Experience:

At least 1 year of dental hygiene experience preferred. Language

Skills:

Proficiency in English preferred.
