Senior Mechanical Engineer role at Barton & Loguidice (B&L). The Senior Mechanical Engineer will: design and manage small to large mechanical engineering projects; apply analytical skills; and contribute to projects across municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities. Responsibilities include collaborating with project teams and clients to deliver integrated, well-coordinated mechanical solutions.

Required

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 10-15+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to design and manage projects
• Comprehensive technical background across mechanical engineering facets

• Plumbing systems and fire protection

Excellent communication and writing skills are essential for interaction with clients and team members. Software capabilities should include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design/energy analysis software (e.g., Carrier HAP). Technical capabilities should cover fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mechanical power systems, digital control systems, and building codes/industry standards such as ASHRAE. A broad familiarity with the work of other project team members (architects, structural, electrical, and civil engineers) is desired.

Soft skills include client interfacing, mentoring staff, and assisting with proposal development.

This role offers the opportunity to develop and manage dynamic, challenging projects with innovative goals. Additional industry certifications (e.g., Certified Energy Manager or LEED AP) are a plus. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY, PA or MD (or eligibility to obtain) is desired.

Estimated Pay Range
: $115,000 - $145,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, location, education/training, certifications, and other credentials.
