Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer role at Barton & Loguidice (B&L). A growing multi-disciplinary engineering firm serving municipal, industrial and institutional clients. Located in Syracuse, NY with multiple offices; B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water and wastewater management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management. • Provide high-level engineering services for a broad range of clientele, with an emphasis on electrical systems for building and power distribution.
• Design and manage projects ranging from small to large scale; perform electrical studies, power distribution planning, lighting design, and related electrical engineering tasks.
• Address electrical service entrances, medium voltage power equipment, emergency power, alarm systems, telecommunications and industrial process electrical needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams including architects, structural, mechanical and civil engineers to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Mentor younger staff, engage with clients, contribute to proposal development, and support business development efforts where appropriate.
• Maintain strong communication and writing skills to liaise with technical clients and team members.

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 10–15+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to design and manage projects with a comprehensive technical background in building and power distribution systems.
• Software proficiency:
  Microsoft Office;
  AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, NFPA) and applicable building codes; ability to work with a broad project team.
• Desirable:
  Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in NY, PA or MD (or eligibility); certifications such as Certified Energy Manager or LEED AP.

Estimated pay range: $115,000 – $145,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, certifications, and other credentials. This position may offer strong career growth and advancement potential.
