Position Overview

40 hours per week, full‑time – term time plus some school holiday cover.

Nestled along the stunning Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is internationally recognised as a leader in modern education. Our school motto Plus est en vous – "There is more in you" – is expressed daily through challenge and compassion. The co‑educational community of over 500 pupils, aged 4 to 18, includes day and boarding students from more than 40 countries who live and learn together.

The Prep School is a warm and dynamic environment where children aged 4‑13 thrive. With approximately 125 pupils, a quarter of whom are boarders, it offers a range of academic, sporting, and extracurricular opportunities supported by world-class facilities for sports, performing arts, outdoor learning, and more.

Administrator Responsibilities
  • Provide vital support to the life and work of the Prep School, working collaboratively with the wider administrative team across the school.
  • Partner with colleagues across departments to ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively, building positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Maintain a high level of digital proficiency and proactively manage a diverse workload.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement thoughtful, effective solutions that enhance systems and processes across the Prep School and beyond.
Candidate Profile
  • Highly capable and well‑organised administrator with experience in administration and data management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, conscientious, and diligent nature.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to managing a diverse workload.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
