Job Description
To provide specialist support and co-ordination for requests in respect of Freedom of Information (FOI), Data Protection (DPA) and Environmental Information Scotland Regulations (EISR) for the whole Council.
RequirementsCo-ordinate and assess responses to all information requests within specific time frames.
Provide clerical support service to the Information Governance Manager & DPO
The IndividualExperience of relevant clerical work, including word processing, record keeping and filing.
Experience in using Microsoft software packages
Minimum of 6 Standard Grades or equivalent, including English, at level 3 or above.
High level of accuracy.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to organise, manage & prioritise own workload with minimal supervision.
Ability to use initiative when required.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Effective telephone manner.
Ability to tackle issues with sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion.
Effective organisational/ time management skills with the ability to respond to conflicting and competing demands.
Understanding of, and ability to, demonstrate key inter-personal skills, both on the telephone and face to face.
Approachability and willingness to help.
Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
Self-confidence.
Ability to work under pressure whilst meeting deadlines.

Starting Salary: £27,671.80 (pro-rota)
