At Balfour Beatty Power T&D, we're growing our Commercial team in Scotland and are looking for multiple Senior Quantity Surveyors to join us on the BBNP (Beauly, Black hillock, New Deer and Peterhead) 400kV Overhead Line Project
.

Experience in Power T&D or NEC contracts is not essential. We welcome candidates from construction, infrastructure, rail, highways, utilities, energy, defence and other related sectors.

Flexible Rotational Working Available
We’re open to candidates from across the UK, with rotational working arrangements available for those not based locally, offering the opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure project in the North of Scotland while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

• Managing all commercial aspects of your projects and work streams.
• Preparing commercial reports, forecasts and financial reconciliations.
• Reviewing and negotiating contracts, rates, prices, variations and compensation events.
• Monitoring subcontract performance and commercial compliance.
• Supporting the preparation of claims and commercial submissions.
• Analysing tender information and developing robust commercial strategies.
• Supporting customer and stakeholder management across your area of responsibility.
• Developing procurement strategies and programmes.
• Managing subcontract enquiries and tender evaluations.
• Supporting supply chain performance and commercial outcomes.
• Undertaking constructability and programme reviews to maximise value.
• Supporting the recruitment, development and retention of team members.
• Mentoring Assistant, Graduate and Trainee Quantity Surveyors.
• Sharing knowledge and helping others progress towards professional qualifications.
• Promoting a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
• MRICS, MCIOB, MCInstCES or working towards professional membership.
• CSCS Professionally Qualified Person Card.
• Experience managing commercial activities on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Leadership experience and a passion for developing others.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• The ability to build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and supply chain partners.
• A commitment to continuous professional development.
