Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to support our client in the distilling industry in Speyside as they look to strengthen their automation team with the appointment of a number of Controls Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for ensuring the continued operation, optimisation and improvement of multiple distillery sites across the region.
The team plays a critical role in keeping production running smoothly while delivering automation improvements, commissioning new systems and supporting major capital projects.
As a Control Engineer, you will work across a network of distillery sites supporting automation systems and plant operations.
- Supporting the operation and reliability of distillery automation systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
- Working on automation improvements and process optimisation projects
- Supporting commissioning and automation upgrades across sites
- Contributing to capital projects and plant improvement initiatives
- Working closely with wider engineering and project teams
You will also play a key role in ensuring plants remain operational and efficient while helping deliver long-term improvements to automation systems.
The TeamYou will join an experienced team of Control Engineers who support a number of distillery sites across the region, covering approximately a 40-mile radius. The role offers excellent variety, working across both operational support and project-based automation work.
What We're Looking For- A time-served electrical background
- Experience working with PLC-controlled systems
- Strong fault-finding skills within automated environments
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- The ability to work autonomously and under pressure when required
- Candidates from manufacturing, process, automation, industrial electrical backgrounds preferably but other backgrounds will all be considered
