Multi Skilled Operative

Job Overview

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at Tarmac Cloddach Sand & Gravel Quarry, Elgin. The role focuses on loader and static plant operations producing dry aggregate materials for construction.

• Operate machinery including dumpers, loading shovels, forklifts and blocking operations.
• Maintain day‑to‑day static plant and uphold high housekeeping standards.
• Complete additional duties as directed, with full training provided.

• Experience in aggregates, quarrying, or an industrial/factory environment.
• Previous loader or static plant operator experience preferred.
• Strong communication, motivation, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with SSOW (HIRA) and permit systems preferred.
• Self‑motivated and able to motivate colleagues.
• Good timekeeping and flexible working approach.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IT literate; shovel licence preferred.
