Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – Lead for New Male-Only Unit

We are now seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team and take a lead role in the development and implementation of our new male-only unit within the service.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RMN to shape and embed best practice from the outset. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading the clinical development and safe opening of the new male-only unit
Establishing care pathways, risk management processes and therapeutic approaches appropriate to the resident group
Overseeing and supporting the nursing and care team within the unit
Promoting a safe, structured and person-centred environment
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks
Responding to emergencies and providing clinical leadership during shifts
Supporting staff induction, development and supervision
Promoting safe working practices across the Home
You will work collaboratively with the Home Manager and wider leadership team to ensure the new unit reflects our commitment to quality, dignity and compassionate care.
Essential RequirementsRegistered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
Experience working in mental health services, ideally within older adult, dementia, complex behaviours, or challenging behaviour settings
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience in care planning, risk assessment and medication management
Ability to support service development and embed clinical governance frameworks
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Experience in dementia care, nursing care, respite care or palliative care would be advantageous.
