The Vendor Background System Specialist reviews vendor and contractor background paperwork for accuracy and completeness, enters information into the CHIRP system, and collaborates with Facility Managers to ensure proper documentation. This position in the Illinois Department of Central Management Services supports the Statewide Security Management Administration team in Springfield, Illinois.
Key qualifications:- Two years of secretarial/business college and one year of office experience, or high school diploma and three years of office experience
- Preferred: two years of professional experience with background checks in security administration or compliance
- Preferred: two years of professional experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite products
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
