We are seeking exceptional Teacher's Assistants (TAs) and Paraprofessionals for our year‑round day school located in Geneva, IL. Hours are 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday‑Friday.

Our hourly rates for Life Skills are $20.00 with no experience, $21.00 with 2 years of paraprofessional experience and up to $22.50 with 5 years or more of experience. With a Bachelor’s degree the rates increase to $21.00 (no experience), $22.00 (2 years) and up to $23.50 (5 years).

Marklund Day School is a non‑public, state‑certified school that partners with local school districts to provide a highly specialized educational experience. The Multi‑Needs Program serves individuals ages 3‑23 with medical, developmental, and physical disabilities. Through our Life Skills Program, teachers and paraprofessionals provide individualized functional curriculum and support for students on the autism spectrum, with specific learning and developmental disabilities.

• Assist teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs.
• Provide direct care, attend in‑services and other educational functions as required.
• Keep classroom equipment in clean condition and provide safe physical environments for all students.
• Document all goals and programs, including daily participation records after task completion.
• Work directly with students one‑on‑one and in IEP‑outlined groups.
• Successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training.

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license required. The license may be obtained within 30 days of hire. We offer a $500 bonus for obtaining it. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
