Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist the Institutional Research Office with various ad hoc data and research requests, while learning‑on‑the‑job about the fields of data science and institutional research. Will include work with Excel and Word, as well as an introduction to certain software specific to this field (statistical programs, GIS mapping software, data visualization software, etc.).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be a current student.

• Knowledge of using Excel spreadsheets and basic statistical formulas

• Excellent customer service skills

Essential Duties

Help inform interpretations of student data and survey feedback

Learn skills and practices related to data science while working with IR department

Help IR office complete ad hoc research project and data requests as directed by IR Director

Other Duties

Other duties as assigned that pertain to the job description.
