Work Schedule:

Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

Job Summary:

Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college s strategic goals and evaluate students  progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Licensed massage therapist, 2 years clinical experience in massage therapy

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Additional training and/or certificates in clinical operations, business practices, wellness, pathology, and anatomy/physiology. Online and traditional classroom/lab teaching experience.

Essential Duties:

Deliver Instruction

• Conuct assigned classes and/or labs
• Prepare lessons
• Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
• Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets

If a lab is involved:

Prepare labs

Enforce lab safety procedures

Evaluate Student Progress

• Keep accurate record of student performance
• Provide students with timely feedback

Provide Student Assistance

• Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication
• Refer students to student support services
• Accommodate special needs students

Other Duties:

Other duties as assigned that pertain to the job description
