This is a hands‑on, full‑cycle design role — from concept and CAD modeling to prototyping, testing, and launch. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, and field service teams to deliver high‑performance, cost‑effective equipment that meets the demands of modern manufacturing.

• Lead the design, development, and launch of custom industrial equipment using AutoCAD Inventor and Solid Works
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to align with company strategy
• Collaborate with customers, product managers, vendors, and internal teams to define requirements and translate them into robust mechanical solutions
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications for new parts and assemblies
• Prototype and test mechanical systems to ensure safety, durability, and performance
• Support field technicians and troubleshoot equipment issues post‑launch
• Drive value engineering initiatives and manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and integrate them into future product platforms

• 7+ years of experience in machine design and build, with a portfolio of machines taken to production
• Expertise in heavy equipment design, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and DFM principles
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor and Vault Professional; familiarity with Solid Works is a plus
• Hands‑on experience in R&D environments and prototyping
• Strong problem‑solving skills and creative thinking to overcome design constraints
• Knowledge of firmware, software, and electro‑mechanical components is a bonus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Project management experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Exposure to moving equipment and industrial conditions
• Indoor work with potential for high heat (90°F+) and humidity (80%+)
• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, and lifting
• Lead the design of machines that make a real impact in the packaging industry
