Mechanical Engineer – Precision Machinery

Location: On-site (U.S.)

Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 per year

FLSA Status: Exempt

Travel: Up to 10%

A growing precision machinery manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for high‑precision machines. This role will also support automation integrations and collaborate closely with production, project, and sales teams. The position requires hands‑on design expertise and proficiency in 3D CAD.

• Generate detailed drawings of fabricated, machined, and sheet‑metal parts
• Use 3D CAD software to develop machine designs and concept layouts
• Design mechanical and electromechanical assemblies based on project requirements
• Ensure design feasibility, quality, and manufacturability
• Check for interferences and perform simulations in CAD software
• Evaluate mechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluids
• Provide engineering support to customers, vendors, and sales teams for projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing complex mechanical/electromechanical assemblies for machinery, preferably machine tools
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Solid Works or Inventor preferred)
• Experience with castings, weldments, high‑precision components, and sheet metal design
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and their applications
• Experience with ECO/ECN processes and PDM/ERP systems for file and BOM management
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to maintain professional discretion and handle confidential information
• Base salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 annually
