Position OverviewA leading manufacturer in advanced display technologies is seeking a self‑motivated Applications Engineer to support its engineering initiatives across product development, customer support, and technical documentation. This role requires a technically skilled individual with strong embedded systems experience, solid programming abilities, and a passion for innovation. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to support project or manufacturing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Drive and support product design initiatives for both new and existing projects.
- Provide hardware and software assistance to external engineering teams via email, phone, or in‑person consultations.
- Create and maintain end‑user design resources such as tutorials, test code, application notes, and demonstration kits.
- Develop and manage technical documents, including schematics, datasheets, drawings, and user guides.
- Provide technical training and support to internal teams such as marketing, distribution, and sales.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or higher
- Proficiency in C++, C, or similar programming languages
- Solid understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., PIC, ATMEL, ARM)
- Familiarity with peripheral interfaces (I²C, SPI, USB, GPIO, SD Card, etc.)
- Strong foundation in electronics theory
- High attention to detail, excellent organization, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
- Experience building prototypes (soldering, bread boarding)
- PCB debugging and troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with CAD models
- Hands‑on experience with OLED, LCD, LED, or VFD display technologies
- Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 120 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
