This role is part of the Global Sourcing team, which thrives on Knowledge Driven Sourcing; developing optimal solutions based on knowledge of Engineering Design, Manufacturing Processes, Cost Modeling & Quality.

EXPERIENCE:
Degree in technical field (BSME/ BSIE preferred) or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience
Strong manufacturing processes knowledge of, machined materials, ferrous castings, Fabrication and Welding
MS Office Suite proficiency required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading global strategic sourcing initiatives
Develop and execute on a comprehensive Asia Supply chain initiative targeting lowering material costs
Partner with the Asian sourcing teams to identify optimal global sourcing needs
Conduct market research and analysis to help identify new supply chain opportunities
Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of components and products
Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers
Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within categories in scope without compromising quality
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues
Actively participate in helping to build a high-performing team of procurement professionals
Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members
