Part Time Hemmens Stage Hand

Assists backstage or behind the scenes for performances and events in a 1,200 seat theatre and an 11,340 square foot exhibition hall. Supports the special events and communications department at events and venues throughout the city.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, event set-up, supervision of event, operation of equipment for events, and take down and cleanup after events.

• Applicants must have good communication skills and be able to effectively follow instructions from supervisors
• Must be a self starter and eager to learn new things
• Previous backstage experience in a live entertainment venue is required
• Be|}  ras} capable of lifting 60 lbs
• Ability to work varied hours, based on event schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Possession of valid Illinois driver's license required

Based on event schedule. Will include weekends and evenings.
