Service Technician

About the Role

The Service Technician I is responsible for configuring, testing, and shipping sophisticated telecommunication equipment. This role involves staging and configuring servers, switches, and firewalls, as well as working with Windows computers, servers, and networking devices. The technician will work onsite in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and must be quality‑and safety‑conscious. The position is temporary and long‑term (6–12 months, with possible extension based on performance and business needs).

• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience, or less experience with a technical degree or certification.
• Experience setting up and configuring Windows computers, servers, and networking devices.
• Moderate Windows and Google computer skills, with the ability to read and enter data as required.
• Ability to read build and configuration documentation.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for 8 hours or more, including overtime.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including weekend work and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Willingness to rotate between various positions based on business needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Quick learner with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with a quality and safety-focused mindset.
• Temporary employment only.

• Technical proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Experience with networking equipment (Cisco and client experience is a plus).
• Scripting knowledge.
• Basic debugging of automation scripts is a plus.
• Experience staging and configuring servers, workstations, switches, and firewalls.
• Ability to communicate and work cohesively with the development organization.
• Ability to debug issues related to sales orders and assist in resolving them.
