Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced logistics professional with a strong understanding of international shipping, export compliance, and global trade operations?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator I to support international shipments, cross-border logistics, and export compliance activities. This is a great opportunity to apply your expertise in global trade regulations while collaborating with freight forwarders, carriers, customs officials, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international shipments and export compliance activities.
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, air waybills, bills of lading, and country-of-origin documentation.
- File export declarations through ACE/AESDirect and obtain Internal Transaction Numbers (ITNs).
- Conduct restricted and denied party screening in accordance with applicable export regulations.
- Coordinate cross-border shipments to Canada and Mexico, including USMCA and CARM requirements.
- Ensure compliance with C-TPAT standards and dangerous goods shipping requirements, including lithium-ion batteries.
- Monitor shipments, resolve customs holds and delays, and support timely delivery.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs officials, and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in international logistics, export operations, or global trade compliance.
- Knowledge of EAR, ITAR, FTR, USMCA, and C-TPAT regulations.
- Experience with ACE/AESDirect, Oracle ERP, and Global Trade Management systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be local to the Elgin, IL area and available to work the required hybrid schedule.
