Position OverviewAs part of our growth plans, Legacy Restoration is proactively searching for the right candidate to lead a future Elgin branch and help build the team once the office is established. Training for this position will be in the Lombard's office.
Sales Manager Responsibilities- Lead all Sales Department operations, including hiring, training, and daily management of the team.
- Plan and execute annual budget and sales meetings.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure job margins, timely job submission, construction completion, and collections.
- Drive sales results and spend majority of time on field sales activities.
- Hit daily, weekly, monthly and annual contract numbers and revenue goals.
- Interview, train and hire all Service Representatives.
- Provide strong leadership and daily management to the entire Sales Team.
- Perform monthly quota and performance reviews for the Sales Team.
- Propose and execute an annual budget and plan for the department.
- Minimum 5 years of roofing sales experience in the property claims space (insurance claims) – preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience; strong leadership is a must. Must be able to articulate personal approach/philosophy for leadership.
- Consistent history & track record of success in the industry with verifiable references.
- Experience and comfort with using mobile apps and computer technology (specific program training provided).
- Reliable vehicle.
- Physical capability to climb ladders, work at roof heights and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Willing to apply previous knowledge to fit into Legacy’s standards and company culture.
- Understand that 60‑70% of the Sales Manager position is in the field with the Sales Reps.
- Be reliable & display strong work ethic.
- 50‑70 hours per week minimum.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
- Display exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed.
- Ability to spot mistakes/problems in process and correct real time.
- Comfortable with public speaking and leading team trainings.
- Comfortable providing constructive criticism to employees, leading to necessary changes.
Hours vary depending on job volume / time of year.
Compensation: $100,000 base salary with a commission/draw structure ($160,000 estimated earnings for first year earnings), no commission cap.
