The Sales Manager leads all Sales Department operations including hiring, training, daily management of the team, annual budget planning, sales meetings, and working closely with other departments to ensure job margins, timely job submission, construction completion and collections. Sales manager is responsible for all sales results and spends most of their time driving those sales results with their team in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Hit daily, weekly, monthly and annual contract numbers and revenue goals.
- Interviewing, training and hiring all Service Representatives.
- Provide strong leadership and daily management to the entire Sales Team.
- Plan and execute all Sales Meetings (weekly meeting & any others as deemed necessary).
- Perform monthly quota and performance reviews for the Sales Team.
- Propose and execute an annual budget & plan for the department.
- Minimum 5 years of roofing sales experience in the property claims space (insurance claims).
- Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience with strong leadership.
- Strong leadership philosophy that can be articulated.
- Consistent history & track record of success in our industry with verifiable references.
- Experience with mobile apps and computer technology.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work at roof heights and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Willing to apply previous knowledge to fit into Legacy’s standards and company culture.
- Understand that 60-70% of the Sales Manager position is in the field with the Sales Reps.
- Reliable & strong work ethic.
- 50-70 hours / week minimum.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Exceptional time management & organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed.
- Spot mistakes/problems in process and correct real time.
- Comfortable with public speaking and leading team trainings.
- Comfortable providing constructive criticism to employees, leading to necessary changes.
Hours vary depending on job volume / time of year.
Base salary $100,000 with a commission/draw structure ($160,000 estimated first year earnings). No commission cap.
