Job Description
The Assembly Supervisor will lead and mentor a team of machine builders, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of projects. This role requires a hands‑on leader with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of collaborating effectively with other departments to maintain a smooth production flow. You will play a critical role in fostering a safe and productive work environment while driving continuous improvement in assembly processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of machine builders, fostering a positive and productive work environment. This includes performance management, addressing employee concerns, and escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activity for team of assemblers building machinery
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with engineering, machining, purchasing, and other departments to coordinate project requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure seamless integration of components.
- Maintains a safe work environment for all employees
- Reviews blueprints and engineered drawings to establish best practices and assembly procedures
- Conduct periodic quality checks to ensure assembled machinery meets specifications and quality standards. Implement corrective actions as needed.
- Works closely with engineering, machining, and other departments to maintain a steady workflow
- First step in employee relations maintaining open communication to resolve problems and escalating when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Graduate. Associates Degree preferred in technical or mechanical program.
- Minimum of 5 years of machine building experience.
- Minimum of 1 year supervision experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings for required assembly work.
- Excellent Phone and Communication skills.
- Excellent Organization Skills.
- Solid Computer Skills, Microsoft Office knowledge.
