Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Overview

The Material Handler maintains material requirements for all production needs. In a manufacturing setting, the Material Handler is responsible for the timely and efficient movement of raw materials, components, and finished products within the production facility, ensuring the production process runs smoothly.

• Reads production schedule and determines material requirements for production.
• Moves materials and containers from storage or work sites to designated areas to meet production schedule requirements.
• Identifies materials and containers with suitable tags or labels.
• Cleans work areas, machines, and equipment to assist operators.
• Loads loose materials into hoppers and containers.
• Mix materials according to product requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Frequently required walking and reaching with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Able to operate forklift.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to read applicable instructions.

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr
