Coating Technician ; 2nd shift

We are looking for a Technician Ifor our Elgin facility. In this role you will set up, operate, and monitor coating equipment used to process a variety of customer products. This position prepares and configures coating chambers, loads and unloads products, enters process parameters, performs required pre-treatment activities, and monitors the coating process to ensure customer specifications are met. The role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound decision-making to safely and efficiently manage each coating cycle from setup through completion.

Your Responsibilities:

• Performs production operations to support the manufacturing process.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
• Must be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions and ask questions if necessary to prevent misunderstanding.

Your Profile:

• Commits to the corporate core values, goals, mission and vision.
• High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
• Able to do prolong standing 9+ hours or more.
• The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Good dexterity, attention to fine details, and depth perception to enable detail hand coordination.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand eye coordination and the ability to adjust focus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills to include basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets and Access database to complete end of day reports.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
