Staff Nurse – LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Marklund is seeking dedicated Staff Nurses with an LPN license to join our team in Elgin. This role offers flexible full‑time and part‑time shifts and an hourly rate of $28.25–$34 depending on qualifications.
Location & ScheduleElgin, IL – Flexible full‑time and part‑time shifts available.
Hourly rate: $28.25–$34/hr based on qualifications and experience.
Shift differentials: $2 for MCDD all shifts; $1 for PM weekdays; $2 for night weekdays; $5 for AM weekends; $6 for PM weekends; $7 for night weekends.
PRN/IHR (On‑Call) LPN rate is $29/hr with an additional $2 differential for weekends.
About MarklundMarklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin – the organization serves nearly 178 residents.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications, tube feedings and treatments as prescribed.
- Prepare quarterly health assessments and annual assessments.
- Inform the physician of changes in resident health status and implement physician orders to assure optimal healthcare.
- Complete daily charting for care provided.
- Act as a liaison between residents, parents, physicians, consultants and case managers regarding resident status.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), current on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry.
- Current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent care.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and contribute to a team that works for the good of each resident.
