The Division of Academic Affairs provides leadership in developing and maintaining quality academic programs and support services that contribute to the achievement of the university’s mission. Descriptionof Work
- Provide college level guitar instruction per week.
- Provide applied lessons in guitar performance.
- Maintain and supervise the In-House Recording Studio.
- Supervise students in the recording studio.
- Work with other faculty and diverse community musicians to promote alternative, popular, and commercial music styles within the program and on campus.
- 18 hours of instruction on the graduate level in Guitar Performance (required).
- M.M. in Guitar – Guitar performance or Jazz Studies in Guitar with college-level teaching experience (preferred).
- Evidence of experience within the music industry and ability to teach music industry and/or music technology courses (required).
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with a wide range of individuals.
- Commitment to excellence in student learning and ability to promote success in a multicultural and global community.
