Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Director (DOR) oversees all therapy operations—physical, occupational, and speech—ensuring excellent clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. This leadership role includes providing strong leadership, overseeing patient care and documentation compliance, coordinating schedules, ensuring accurate billing, attending care plan meetings, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting new clinical programs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the rehabilitation team
  • Oversee patient care, productivity, and documentation compliance
  • Coordinate therapy schedules and interdisciplinary communication
  • Ensure accurate authorization and billing procedures
  • Attend care plan meetings and collaborate with nursing and administrative staff
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold facility policies
  • Support development and implementation of new clinical programs
  • Create a culture of respect, compassion, and superior customer service
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited university with a degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy (MS, MA, BS, BA, or Associate)
  • Current state license and/or registration (as applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Director of Rehabilitation in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and resident‑centered care
