Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Elizabeth City, NC. The position offers a 36‑hour night shift (Third (Nights)) with a nursing‑to‑patient ratio of 1:2, sometimes flexing up to 1:3. Work Shift:

Third (Nights) – 36‑hour night shift

• Education:
  
  Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required);
  Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred; students completing an accredited nursing program.
• Certification/Licensure:
  Registered Nursing License (required); students in process of obtaining license;
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience:
  
  No experience required; 1 year of acute care experience preferred; previous healthcare experience preferred.

Care for a diverse range of medical and surgical patients in a 10‑bed Medical‑Surgical ICU. Provide critical care nursing, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and promote patient safety and quality outcomes. Participate in mentorship, learning, and professional growth opportunities.
